The mission of the Statewide Services Department is to provide technical assistance, professional development, materials and resources to families and local school districts serving children who are visually impaired.
At the request of the local school district, a multidisciplinary team conducts an educational assessement at OSSB for children with visual impairments, ages three through twenty one. At the request of the local school district, a team of evaluators with specific expertise in the field of visual impairment will travel to local school districts to provide consultative technical assistance.
This program provides support and resources to families of children with disabilities and the professionals who serve them.

Each summer, OSSB offers enrichment opportunities for students in the state of Ohio that are blind and visually impaired. There are options for all students ages K-12! Please check back in March 2017 for our 2017 camp opportunities.
